In an article on CTV, director David Yates talks a bit about how Harry and his friends grow up in Order of the Phoenix. Quote:
It's quite political. Harry has witnessed the return of Lord Voldemort and is shocked that the discovery he's made is being quashed by the Ministry of Magic. Harry and his friends discover the grown-up world is quite complex and you can't always rely on grown-ups to sort things out. Sometimes, you have to stand on your own.

 Yes... it's true, OotP had this effect... but it was my favourtie book! I do think that they grew up a lot in this one...  First to post!

I totally agree! You really get to see them grow up so much and really start using everything they know and putting it into even more practice! They get to know so much more about the world and politics around them and how they are directly affected. They really feel real and relatable. I can't wait to see their interpretation of the book!

Yeah, I almost like the change from a physical battle as a main focus, to a political battle... it adds more depth to the story.
