David Thewlis interview and more casting rumors -
actor who portrays Lupin Summary:
The Age has a new interview with David Thewlis aka Professor Lupin in which he mentions another actor attached to the HP films, whom we have never heard of being connected to Harry Potter before.
Article: David Thewlis interview and more casting rumors The Age recently held an interview with
David Thewlis aka Professor Lupin in the new Harry Potter film. The interview also includes a brand new picture of the actor. Some of the language in the article is only for mature readers.
He had this to say about the latest installment in the franchise:
Quote:
"Tim Spall, who was made up as a rat, . . . said, 'You know, I always wanted to work with you three but I thought it would be in a David Mamet play or a Scorsese film, not like this'.
Quote:
"Someone said it was like Mike Leigh on acid. Me, Tim (Pettigrew) and Gary (Sirius) have all worked on Mike Leigh films before."
David also refers to
Ray Winstone.
Quote:
"Someone said it was like Mike Leigh on acid. Me, Tim and Gary have all worked on Mike Leigh films before, and I believe Ray Winstone is working on the fourth one, so come the fifth film there'll be a scene with me, Gary, Tim and Ray Winstone all together."
It was
rumored in January that Ray Winstone would play Mad-Eye Moody in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, but Warner Bros. recently announced that
Brendan Gleeson would play the role of Mad-Eye Moody. It is possible, as in
Ian Brown's case, that Ray Winstone will make a cameo appearance in the fourth film as an unknown wizard.
This means that Ray Winstone
may have a part in either film four or five, but he is
not going to be playing Mad-Eye Moody. He is still to be portrayed by Brendan Gleeson.
