| | |  David Heyman on the first task & the GoF game
David Heyman has spoken to Empire about the first task in the ' Goblet of Fire' film. There is also an interview with Guy Miller (game director), Alex Laurant (senior art director) and David Heyman regarding the video game. Quote:
“It’s [the first task] one of the most powerful and dramatic scenes,” he said. “We’ve departed from the book a little bit in the sense that the dragon breaks free of the chain that ties him and it leads to this dramatic chase through Hogwarts [Grounds].Let’s just say it doesn’t necessarily meet the happiest of ends.”
Quote: How does the game's storyline compare to the film?
Guy: We’ve expanded the Prefect’s bathroom area. Because it’s a multi-player game and not just Harry, we had to create a contrivance whereby Harry, Ron and Hermione could all be in the bathroom together and then go off with the egg!
David: There are some new creatures: Jo (Rowling) discussed a whole library of characters that weren’t in the book so we got those.
Quote: What sort of creatures?
Guy: There's a Vampire Mosp: a sort of wasp and a moth which Jo’s seen, and the Irkling out of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, so we’re drawing on her whole world.
Alex: Our art department had a great time working with those creatures. It’s a lot of fun.
