Earlier we had told you about Guillermo Del Toro, a popular director, who was interested in possibly working on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. According to David Heyman, the Harry Potter series producer, Del Toro is not really in the running because "he's rather busy."

Though a director still has not been named, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is set to release in movie theaters sometime in 2010.

NOTE by Dumbledore:
The reason Del Toro is busy until 2010 is because he has signed to direct the two Hobbit movies, produced by Peter Jackson. The first Hobbit movie is due out in 2009 and the second in 2010 with filming beginning late this year/early next year for both films.

It would've been great if he directed DH...I wish they find someone good...no not just good...brilliant! Everything has to be perfect for DH.

Well, seeing as how the last three movies went a bit pear shaped in spots, and considering the casting and the plotlines that have been left out of HBP, I'm not holding out too much hope. I think WB stopped listening to what the fans want and started listening to the Almighty Dollar/Euro/Pound/Yen/whatever after COS.
