In a recent interview, writer and actor David Haig, who plays Rudyard Kipling in My Boy Jack, speaks a bit about his co-star Dan Radcliffe. Quote:
Daniel (Radcliffe) is the most extraordinarily grounded, down to earth, passionate, committed and intelligent young man, and brings all of those ingredients to the part of Jack.
He also said that the Kipling family was "unpopular" in their hometown because they didn’t socialize much. Quote:
I was talking to Daniel about this and he was saying it can be so easily misunderstood, that search for privacy. If your whole life is public, you ruthlessly pursue that privacy.
He also noted that a scene in which the Kiplings make a toast to their missing son on his birthday was coincidentally shot on the same day as Dan’s actual birthday. My Boy Jack will air on ITV1 on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 9 p.m.

that's a really awesome insight! and I have to agree! coz if people recognize you and follow you around taking pictures making you sign stuff even if you're really tired and don't want to be bothered you'd want to go out inconspicuously... | |
