| | |  Daniel Radcliffe's Extras episode wins awards (UPDATED)
Last night the 29th Banff World TV awards, also known as the 2008 Rockie Awards, took place in Canada, with the handing out of several prizes to famous TV shows. The episode of Extras in which Daniel Radcliffe starred in Sept. 2006, picked up the Best Comedy award, along with the Special Jury award (Best Entertainment) for the BBC. The episode also starred Warwick Davis (Flitwick).

Those of you who don't know Extras should check it out! Absolutely brilliant British comedy by Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchant (The Office).
It's about a guy named Andy Millman (Gervais) who wants to make it big in the movie business but is forced to take on little roles as an extra in films with well-known actors.
Basically, they have a new Hollywood or British a-lister in each episode (Patrick Stewart, Kate Winslet, David Bowie, Orlando Bloom, Samuel L. Jackson, ...) who plays a slightly twisted version of him-/herself; in this case, Dan Radcliffe as a sex-obsessed teenager who wants to impress people girls with his smoking. That episode also stars Warwick Davis, by the way. Very very funny!
So yay for this award, although I can't remember offhand if this really was the best episode.

It is on You Tube, i have seen it several times and it is very very funny. It makes Dan even lovelier, if that were possible. Of course, Ricky Gervais is the total genius behind it and The Office (British and American TV comedy).
