British actress Joanna Christie has defended Equus co-star Daniel Radcliffe for appearing nude on the London stage. Christies points out that Equus is about more than the HP actor in the buff. Quote:
But 24-year-old Christie is amazed by the amount of press attention Radcliffe has attracted, and urges critics to look beyond the raunchy scenes to see the meaning of the play itself.

I have to agree with her. I didn't exactly like the idea of a nude Dan, but I still think people should get over it all and let him make his own decisions. Really.

They're being hard on him. He's getting older and needs to be able to act differently then just as Harry Potter. People shouldn't just go see the play for that (even though it's hard not to!!! I mean Danielle Radcliffe nude! Who would pass up the chance!)

It is all very well saying that it is more about Daniel being in the nude, but most people who are going to see it are seeing it because of the Potter star, and you get the picture, lol.

I agree with her. Critics only see Dan...how and why he's doing these scenes...they pay so much attention to that, that they don't understand the play.
