Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe have been named best actress and actor respectively according to the Japanese Roadshow, Edition 9. Article: Daniel Radcliffe named 'best actor'
Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter in the respective films, was named 'best actor' by fans over in Japan according to the Japanese Roadshow, Edition 9, in their competition entitled Best 10 Actors That You Chose.
Winners were selected based on the total number of postcards entered in the exclusive contest for Roadshow Magazine readers, which started May 21 and lasted until June 19, 2004.
Now that all of the postcard ballots have been tallied, the winners were announced in this last issue. Dan was voted Best Actor with a total of 4256 votes, followed by Johnny Depp, who scored a total of 2387 votes.
Emma Watson won for 'Best Actress' with a total of 4312 votes, followed by Nicole Kidman, who scored a much smaller total of 1256.
Rupert Grint came in at number 6, in the best actor vote, with 531 votes.

I have to say I think emma is the best along with dan. Her acting in chamber was so good, with her crying, but dan's emotional seen in hogsmeade in POa just didnt work for me, i thought he was unsure or just couldnt cry..but he was making alot of sad 'noises' tehehe. ron is always sweet, but he is just so big in character acting i cant really tell if it's ....well no cause it is 'ron' I can't pick one there all great.

well, excuse me but this is just another "popularity" award -- NOT an "acting" award -- since the voters are just magazine readers.
An official acting award -- in recognition of, and based on, talent and performance -- is given out by professional motion picture organizations/award-giving bodies, and decided upon by a board of judges composed of well-respected members of the film industry.
Rupert Grint is still the "best actor" among the trio.
No offense meant to Dan & Emma tho, I like them too but you just cant deny who shines thru performance-wise. Others say Ron is an easy role to play but that is so not true -- the movie Ron was expected to be funny and any professional actor will tell you that it is easier to do drama/make an audience cry, than to do comedy/make them laugh, coz you need excellent comedic timing to do that -- and Rupert was able to pull it off with flying colors -- drama will be a "piece of cake" for him.

Rupert Grint was number 6? I personally think he's the best out of all three, but seeing as I didn't vote, I shouldn't complain! Oh well...Radcliffe and Watson are really talented too, and they deserved their votes. Congrats!

dont hate me but Johhny Depp and Nicole Kidman are way better actors than Dan and Emma. i mean seriously they have only done 3 films and they havent shown there range i just htink it is a bit premature to bae saying they are the best actor and actress.

i have this to say if u all don't like dan so much why be members of this site. if u don't like dan tob play harry why be a member of this site u all say that u are harry potter fans but u have a funnie way of showing it if u feel u can do a better job then him apply for his role if u can't can't then shut up and be happy for the boy and stop crying like babies u bunch of lames because i support dan in everything he does

LOL, i don't hate you, you're totaly right about Johnny Depp, come on!, i love Dan, he's gorgeous, and his acting is good for his age, but he is not that good. And Nicole, oh! my! gosh!, Emma is my favorite from the trio, she is awsome, and her acting is great, but Nicole is NICOLE KIDMAN, there is no comparison, Emma is still years of experience away from being on the same level. So, i asume the kids voted for their favorites, not the best, it's not the same thing.
As for Rupert, lol, poor guy, but his acting skills really shine for their absence. On a real acting contest he wouldn't even figure.
