The first photos of Daniel Radcliffe as "Cripple Billy" from his upcoming West End production of
The Cripple of Inishmaan were released as part of a new photo shoot in Vogue magazine. In the June issue of the U.S. publication, Dan discusses the plot of the dark comedy, training in terms of his character's disabilities and Irish accent, and future projects.
Dan's next role will be this upcoming fall, as Igor in the newest adaptation of
Frankenstein. The
Harry Potter actor mentioned that he has written his first screenplay, a "dark comedy with a lot of violence," said Dan, of which he hopes to direct the film version day.
The Cripple of Inishmaan opens in London beginning June 8, through August 31.
Additionally, UK fans of Daniel will be happy to hear that two of his film projects,
Kill Your Darlings and
Horns, have been picked up by distribution companies, hopefully both looking for fall theatrical releases.
Kill Your Darlings, according to The Hollywood Reporter, was nabbed by The Works U.K. Distribution, while
Horns' UK rights were sold to Lionsgate, reported Variety this week.
