| | |  Dan to stay for last two Potter films!
CBBC Newsround is reporting this morning that Dan Radcliffe has officially signed on to play Harry Potter in the remaining two films of the series, #'s 6 and 7! Quote:
A spokesperson for Warner Bros., who make the movies, told CBBC Newsround: "Dan is very much looking forward to starting filming in September."
That's when work will start on the sixth film - The Half-Blood Prince - which will be released late in 2008.
As for Rupert and Emma: Quote:
There's no news yet on Emma Watson and Rupert Grint who play Hermione and Ron. But it's thought that both are likely to do both the last two films alongside Dan.

Great to hear the news, although I suspect Dan signed a three-film contract when he signed on to do OOTP (meaning the WB had options on him for the last two films regardless), because he's now a legal adult. But I suppose Dan decided he wants to finish the series out after all, and announced it. But I thought filming for HBP was supposed to start this August instead of September...
Great, now we know Dan and Rupert will stay on for the rest of the series, which means consistency once all seven movies are released and done with. *crosses fingers and prays that Emma will stay on for the last two films*
