In a new interview Dan Radcliffe talks about Equus, his first kisses (on AND off screen), December Boys, Harrys fate in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and his relationship with and admiration for Gary Oldman, who, sadly, will not return for the final two Potter films. Quote:
“I don’t mean to drop a name but I did speak to Gary Oldman about it because I knew he’d been naked on stage and I asked him what it was like. He said, ‘You’ll be terrified on the first night, you’ll be terrified on the second night and after that you won’t care what happens’.”

Sadly, after some rather dramatic, shared scenes fighting the dastardly Voldermort in The Order of the Phoenix, Oldman will not return for the final instalments.
“I know. It’ll be very, very sad. We both got very emotional when we said goodbye. But we’ll keep in touch, so it’s fine.”

“I’m going to drag out reading the book for as long as I can and treasure every moment until I find out what happens to me,” Radcliffe says, slowly and deliberately. “It’s been a part of my life for so long, it will have been all my teen years by the end probably.”

They must really have a connection to their characters so grow such a bond like that. Dan ask Gary for Advice on and off screen.
And I read somewhere else that Gary wishes JKR would have told him sooner that he wouldn't be returning - I think he feels he would have put more into the movies. But I think he did a wonderful job, and maybe if he knew what would happen to his character then maybe it wouldn't of worked so well... Not sure.
