| | |  Dan Radcliffe to star in remake of All Quiet on the Western Front
Variety is reporting that actor Daniel Radcliffe is set to star in a remake of the war classic All Quiet on the Western Front. The producers of the film spoke about why they chose Dan for the lead role of Paul: Quote:
"Daniel brings a vulnerability and innocence to Paul. When we realized how much he loved the script we were really excited because we know he can tap into the delicate balance between intensity and believability that is critical for this demanding role."
Shooting for the film is set to begin in spring 2012, a year after Dan starts work on the Broadway production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. | |

i remember seeing the 1930s film waaaay back (dad is a war film buff), its a good story, a little talky though, could definitely use an update. but i just hope they keep the setting (WWI), and not try to set it to any of the present day wars/ sentiments. i always felt remakes like that to be patronizing.
good luck with Dan!  this is a challenging role, much more challenging than My Boy Jack.
