A BBC insider has been quoted saying that Daniel Radcliffe will have a cameo role in the second series of the comedy show ' Extras'. Quote:
‘The idea is to blow apart the theory he's a clean-living schoolboy who is a bit posh and portray him as a thuggish yob.’
The BBC Comedy Blog has said Daniel's role IS confirmed. Quote:
Boy-wizard Daniel Radcliffe is the first actor to be confirmed for the second series of Extras. Though it's not yet decided in what capacity he'll appear, we do hope he'll be saying some really inappropriate things for his public image. Ooh, we like that.

If I'm not hugely hugely mistaken, Extras is a shown on HBO with Ricky Gervais, that funny guy who starred in The Office. Other well known celebs who have appeared on Extras are Kate Winslet and Samuel L. Jackson (I think).
It would be really cool to see Dan outside of HP. Aside from December Boys, I'd really like to see him as "thuggish yob"...whatever yob means.  | |

Yeah it's made by the BBC but HBO show it too. And yeah it's Ricky Gervais' creation. But in my opinion, it's over-rated and unfunny. I watched the Ben Stiller episode and just spent the whole time waiting to laugh. But it never happened. And yob means thug.

The next series hasn't begun shooting yet and that was about the time it aired this year. Though it'll be later again in the States.
