The Sun reports that Pierce Brosnan, the latest actor to play Bond who will not be filming any more adventures as the spy, has said that he thinks Daniel Radcliffe, famous for being Harry, could play James in the future. Quote:
The actor, who has slipped into the the suave spy’s tuxedo for a decade, said the schoolboy had the potential to be a “perfect” 007.
Brosnan, in London for the premiere of his new movie After The Sunset, said: “For the next Bond, COLIN FARRELL would be great. But if you want to go even younger, Daniel Radcliffe.
“Give him a few years. You can see it, can’t you? He’ll be great. From Harry Potter to Bond.”

I don't mean to put Dan down or anything, but I kind of think HP movies are going to be the only major roles he gets. I mean he can act ok, but lets face it. He'll always be known as Harry Potter. But that's just my opinion. | |

I think that Dan would be a good Bond....... but yes I also agree that maybe even if Dan gets other big roles, people are always going to remember him as Harry Potter (or at least this generation). I heard a rumor that Orlando Bloom might become the next James Bond. I could defiantely see that happening! I would also say I wouldn't be unhappy either way!!! HOTT.... SSS!

I think Dan would be a good James Bond in the future, when he developes his suave/sexy acting skills. However now is too soon. Colin Farrel? Hmm, i think he's good looking but I need that accent that Brosnan and Connery had. You can't have a James Bond with out the accent. So Dan Radcliffe already has the accent. Let's just wait in the near future, maybe when he's 21?

I think he'd make a good Bond in the distant future. He's too young now, and even though he might be good in other roles in the future, he will ALWAYS be remembered for being Harry Potter, but he shouldnt be ashamed about that...none of the actors should be. Also, I wouldnt consider Dan a "metro-sexual," groomed, yes, but not to the point of obssessing over his looks.
Orlando Bloom would make a fantastic 007, he's super hot and has a sexy accent, yummy!

No offense to anyone, but dan would make a crappy James in my opinion. I'm a huge fan of the Bond series, and if it were to go between Colin and Dan, Colin should get it...

Sean's name actually did come up in suggestions with the producers but I think they decided that he was too young and inexposed -- nobody apart from HP fans would know who he was and most Bond's get the job in their 40's or late 30's.
It`s a good thought though, for the future.
