In an interview with The Observer, Dan Radcliffe has spoken openly about his tastes in music and what he thinks of certain bands and genres. Quote:
'If you look at bands who say they're punk now, like Sum 41, and then look at the Sex Pistols and what they stood for and what they meant and what they managed to do and... well,' he says, taking in the interior of central London's opulent Merchant Taylors' Hall, a 600-year-old banqueting venue, 'the others are just pop music really, aren't they?'

whoa, i definatly hate pop music, but Dan's getting a bit over the loathsome point. stores being fined for selling pop music? a bit extreme if ya ask me.

If Dan made me a CD, I'd never ever lose it...he's such a huge music fan, it's unbelievable, but I like it that he's got a diffrent taste when it comes to music....it would be too cool if he and Matt were in a band!

Wow!! I wudnt let Dan listen 2 my iPod anytime soon!!! Unless i wanted it back in sum very small pieces!! Haha!! I mean i dont like his taste in music, but i wudnt say i loath it!! Awww.......bless his cotton socks......makin a cd for Emma!! Funny stuff on her losin it tho!!  I really pity her wen Dan remembers to ask her bout dat cd.....

i hate pop too dan, but some people are into it and i think he should respect the fact that not everybody has the same taste in music. i think he's taking this WAY to far. i think it's HILARIOUS that he trys to convert emma and makes her a cd and she lost it!!  although i feel bad for him cuz he spent the time making her a cd but it is pretty funny! that's so something i would do, i always misplace my stuff so i can relate to emma, or she just threw it away cuz she didn't like it and told him she lost it | |

I can't say I agree with him. He has great taste in music, can't argue about that, but he don't have to just make such a big deal out of it and be disrespectful when talking about other people's musical taste.

He did give a playlist but he openly said he prefers CDs. Giving a playlist doesn't mean he has an iPod. I think they're over-rated, clearly a fad. But then I can't afford one so I would say that.

I personally disagree with him. We do share alot of the same interests in music but I also like all types such as Jazz and Blues etc. I think that he's a little stuck in his ways theres so much good music out there why just stick to one genre. But I to hate pop and rap cause think they just aren't that great but someone else might like em good for them. Jazz is a 'demanding' medium what the heck is that suppose to mean? Jazz is great. Like there are great music legends out there that aren't punk. Such as Johnny Cash and so on. I wonder what his take is on that.
