| | |  Dan Radcliffe Begins Filming 'December Boys'
Dan Radcliffe's latest project, the film December Boys, has begun filming in South Australia. The Sydney Morning Herald has run a short article, which may be viewed here. Quote:
"I always wanted to do something between Harry Potter four and Harry Potter five," said Radcliffe, who chose the Film Finance Corporation-backed script - in which he plays the leader of an orphanage gang - from hundreds of others. "It was just one that really stood out, it was a great story and it was a character that was really different from Harry and that's what I wanted to do."
National Nine News has also run a piece on what it is like for Dan to play someone other then Harry Potter. The article may be viewed here. Quote:
"There has been a bit of speculation about where I am physically in the city, which has been quite funny," he told AAP.
"Apparently there was a (newspaper) hotline to try and find out where I was.
"I was just really tempted to ring it and see what they did.

I hope that the 'December Boys' won't be anything like the Backstreet Boys!  I really DISLIKE the Backstreet Boys. I really do.  Yes I know that 'December Boys' is a movie Misa!

Ah, that's sad that people actually set up a hotline to find where he was! Leave him alone! But it's great that he's branching out of the Harry Potter series for a little bit. It'll show his range and potential. Obviously, he'll always be Harry Potter, but it'll be nice to see him in something else.
And filming should only be 6 weeks at the most. It's not as monumental as a HP film. He'll have time to do 'December Boys' and OotP. Poor boy'll be worn out though!

i think it's great of dan to get out of the harry potter scene. it will show that he can also do other things along with hp and show his true acting skills. what's the movie about?

I think the filming period for DB will be shorter compared to HP..I'm sure Dan and his people have worked on the schedule to complete both projects.
Wow, two films to look forward to: this one by Dan, and Rupert's Driving Lessons!
