That is so wrong. Tom Felton wasn't in it long enough to be nominated for a "best actor" gong, but then this is just a kids awards thing. I think it's criminal not to pat Rupert on the back. He's ignored in nearly everything, bless.
I'm awaiting on the BAFTA nominations; that's when we'll know that PoA was actually recognised.

That's cool, but I've never heard of Kzone before. Poor Rupert, he does get ignored in everything. How did Tom Felton get nominated, he was hardly in the movie?

If Rupert is not included, this must only be a POPULARITY contest then! Bcoz if there is anybody who deserves a BEST ACTOR award among the young actors of today-- its Rupert Grint!
David Thewlis is right, he's the most natural actor. His acting seems very effortless, like he's not acting at all.
Yet you see him as very "shy" in person, but he becomes different once the camera starts rolling-- he transforms into funny & spunky Ron Weasley (especially in that scene where he says Malfoy is really thick coz Malfoy was telling a girl that his arm would have been chopped off). That is the mark of a good actor! No matter how they tried to reduce his role, he still managed to shine thru! Just be funny -- a comic relief -- that's all they required him to be -- and he DID just that! And he did it successfully -- with flying colors! And that is proof that you canNOT put a good talent down!
The funniest, most memorable scenes in the PoA movie were his scenes-- from the hippogriff-pushing Harry, to the tea leaf-reading class, to the boggart class, to the tapdancing spiders, to the Shrieking Shack (Me?!? He's mental!), to the hospital wing (Dumbledore-patting his injured leg), to the ending of the time turner scene (Why are you there?), etc.
He is MY BEST ACTOR!

i agree with SheWhoMustNotBnamed, over there on the 1st page. 100%.
yeah Tom is cute but how could he be nominated for best actor and with Dan?? i understand Dan..he is the main character! but tom was only like in 2 major scenes. i mean rupert was in it more than him and didn't get a nom. he brought the humor into the movie. what is up with that? o well.... congrats on the Nominations.

I'm awaiting on the BAFTA nominations; that's when we'll know that PoA was actually recognised. Emma, you took the words right out of my mouth girl when I read that, Rupert should be in the running more than Tom. As much as Tom is a good Draco, he was just a secondary character in POA, If anything he should be nominated for supporting actor, not best actor!
I think the way he looks is appealing more to the voters than his talent, and I find that quite unfair really.
Your right about the BAFTA awards, that will be interesting.
