| | | Crouch actor in 'Casanova' David Tennant (Barty Crouch Jnr) tonight stars in a three-part story as Giacomo Casanova in a series based in 18th-century Europe. ' Casanova' will air on BBC3 tonight at 10PM (GMT).
David plays the young Venetian lover who wows the women but offends the Church and spends most of his time as a fugitive.
The series creator, Russell T Davies, describes Casanova as a man who "loved and respected women with an astonishingly modern mentality." Russell also refers to the character as a 'fraud', saying that, "He wasn't an aristocrat. He lied his way into positions of power with charm and cheek. He's just irresistible."
The cast also includes Laura Fraser and Nina Soanya with a cameo from Matt Lucas of ' Little Britain' fame.
A picture of David in his role can be seen here.

Yeah, Casanova wasn`t an aristocrat.
I suppose that`s rather hard - to play Crouch and Casanova simultaneously.

Alot of actors do projects at the same time although I do think this was filmed before he started work on GoF. Don't forget, his parts in GoF are minimal because the majority of the time he's disguised as Mad-Eye-Moody. He only really features in the pensieve and final scenes.

Not really rude, but it's definitely for a more adult audience as it's on after the watershed.
