Default Coverage of the PoA DVD Launch - videos, pictures, interviews & more

The Leaky Cauldron have provided a round up of coverage from the PoA DVD Launch which happened last night in the Honorable Society of Middle Temple, London. Prisoner of Azkaban is now officially released on VHS & DVD in both the UK & Italy.

WireImage have some small images.

HarryLovesHermione has FIVE excellent HIGH-RES imags of the trio at the DVD Launch stood in front of the Knight Bus and boy has Dan's hair grown since May!

Emma-Watson.net have a PoA DVD Launch gallery with loads of pictures and the promise of more to come.

Extra TV has a video from the PoA Launch (you must have Quicktime to view it.) I especially love the 'cool' comments about the Knight Bus.

There is also a competition to win a copy of the DVD on the same page - you must be a resident of the US to enter.

DanRadcliffe.com also have a PoA DVD Launch Gallery with a number of HIGH-RES images.

London Features International have three thumbnails from the event.

DanRadcliffe.co.uk have some fantastic HIGH-RES images of all the cast who attended.

They also have some others including this fascinating one (well I found it intrigiuing...)

Yahoo US have an article about the night as do Yahoo Japan and Biglobe - Japan.

CBBC Newsroundcast interviews, news, celeb gallery and a set gallery.

In the celeb gallery there is a picture of Thomas Sangster (the child from 'Love Actually') at the PoA Bash. Could this mean he might be playing Dennis Creevey who, as far as we know, is yet to be cast?

Quote:
Rupert is one of the first actors to chat to CBBC Newsround.

He (Rupert) said he couldn't quite believe it'd been four years since he was cast as Ron and admitted he'd seen a bit of the first film on TV a few weeks ago, which had "brought back some memories".

Rupert said it was cool to have some new cast members on the set of the fourth film, the Goblet of Fire, currently shooting at Leavesden Studios. Key new roles are filled by Katie Leung, who plays Harry's (future) girlfriend, Cho Chang, and Stanislav Ianevski, who plays Viktor Krum.

"They're really nice, it's great to have some new people," he said.
Quote:
Emma agreed. She has lots of scenes with Krum, who's her date for the infamous Yule Ball.

"Stanislav is genuinely lovely," she said. "I have to do some dancing scenes with him and he's actually not a bad dancer."

Emma admitted she was having formal dancing lessons for the ball scenes, including learning the tango and the foxtrot!
Quote:
"It's so nice to see them," he (David Thewlis) told Newsround. "They really are very nice kids, especially Daniel, who I did most of my work with - he is very smart, very beautiful and very funny. He is my little friend."
Quote:
David added he expected to be back as Lupin in the fifth film and would be "delighted" to play the part again.

But some of the cast had different reactions when asked the big question - will they be back for films five, six and seven?!

Rupert said: "I want to do all of them if I can, they're just such good fun."

But Emma was more cautious: "Woah!" she laughed. "I've honestly no idea, no idea at all."
Quote:
In the freezing rain, Dan, Rupert and Emma arrived for the magical bash in London on the Knight Bus, which has a key role in the third Potter movie.

James and Oliver Phelps, who play the Weasley twins said: "The DVD is brilliant, especially the 360 degrees tour of Honeydukes sweet shop.

"The DVDs just get better. The deleted scenes are pretty funny too."
Quote:
Rupert told us: "We're about halfway through filming now, it's going really well. In this one you've got the Yule Ball, where we all have to find partners so that will be quite interesting. And I have to wear these horrible dress robes for the ball so I'm not really looking forward to that."
Quote:
Emma told Newsround that she was learning new skills for Hermione for the next movie - learning to dance! "And it's not just normal dancing, I'm talking the tango, the foxtrot, waltzing, it's quite impressive," she laughed.

In fact, all of the cast agreed they were having loads of fun on set at Leavesden for film four, and that new director Mike Newell was "crazy and fun".
Mugglenet have some photos from the event too.

BBC Norfolk has a slideshow of images some of which are unseen in the above sites.

Check back at this thread for more updates as they emerge!

i know that's what i've been trying to figure out. but i walked into Rite Aid, and it was right there in the front stands on a display case staring right at me, with this big POA cardboard cut out. i think all the stores already have the DVD in stock but they're not supposed to put it out until the 23rd but no one really goes to that rite aid so i think they just put it out cuz it really wouldn't make a difference. you don't exactly go into that store to buy DVDs anyway...

I can't believe how Dan and Rupert have filled out! They're going to have to film from funny angles though, as in the book, Ron is supposed to be nearly a foot taller than Harry and it looks like Dan's nearly as tall as Rupert now!
He isn't. I saw a video the E News Live Entertainment one and they have a shot of the kids from behind and Dan is like mega short compared to Rupert. He's so small, bless!!!

Shops might be selling it early seeing as it's already out in the UK/Italy.
