 Confirmation that the Quidditch Cup will be in GoF - from set/props news on GoF set Summary:
HPANA have kindly been able to confirm that the Quidditch World Cup Scenes will feature in the GoF Film. Article: Confirmation that the Quidditch Cup will be in GoF
Mr. Jonathan Tebbs, owner of A Barn full of Brass Beds in the UK has been left spellbound after his firm was chosen to restore nine beds at his workshops for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Quote: He has also been working on a folding chair and will provide a unique iron to be used in a kitchen scene.
Quote: A delighted Mr Tebbs said: "When they first contacted me, I thought it was a wind up. But these things don't happen very often.
"I was desperate to do it. It was the wackiness of it. I was on tenterhooks for a month until they ended up buying the beds."
Quote: Set dressers for Warner Bros have paid precise attention to detail and want brass beds for the scenes.
The Hogwarts gang visit Ron Weasley's parents and are camping in a tent. Although from the outside it is a small tent, once inside it opens up into a large dormitory with bunk beds and a double bed for the Weasleys. All the props will come from A Barn Full of Brass Beds.

So the brass beds fitted the bill for Warner Bros.
They have been supplied for the same price as if someone ordered one from his website and are about £300 for a single and £800 for a larger bed.

Just to link the bits of information, the connection to the cup is that the camping in tents happens before the Quidditch World Cup match. The mention of Julie Walters aka Molly Weasley and the figure nine seems to suggest that she has been written into those scenes for the film version of GoF.

cool, i hope they dont change it too much though i like the quidditch cup scene.
somehow i think theyre going to have to uncomplicate the plot - a lot - and the movies not going to be like the book. but oh well, im sure it will be fine! :sorcerer:

Wonder if they'll include Oliver Wood in the world cup scenes? Probably not, his appearance wasn't important and doesn't affect the plot. But I was very distraught when he wasn't in poa! | |

I am sooo excited (squealing and jumping round and off of chairs from excitment! HA! lol.) Anywayz, that's GREAT!! Great, ya herd, GREAT!!! GOF is my absolute fave of all the books so far (note: i sed so far), and I hope that it turns out just...spectacular. But I have no fear, all of the other movies were (and , in my opinion, still are) fabulous!! :sorcerer: They're gon do a good job of bringin' the books to life, I just no it!! They better or else I'm gon cry lyk a baby

I'd heard ages ago that they were'nt cutting the world cup scene, I can't remember who said it though. This should be good- I love the scene with Archie the wizard at the water pump also the bit when Harry and Ron see the Veela! Doesn't Harry see Cho here aswell?

I really hope they don't cut TOO much. I'm really glad they're going to show some campsite scenes. Those should be great and I really hope they don't cut the part where Draco gets turned into a ferret!!! It's way too hilarious to leave out.
