You wear contact lenses and don't you wear glasses anymore?
I had to get used to contact lenses at first. Harry Potter in the book has green eyes. Because I have blue eyes myself they gave me green contact lenses to use in the first movie. But they caused me a lot of pain. I didn't have to wear them anymore but I had to wear glasses a long time after filming the first movie.

And Harry Potter is proof that people who wear glasses can be heroes, too. Don't you think?
Right. Harry Potter makes wearing glasses cool. And for me as a years-long wearer of glasses, it's a plus.

What are you doing when you're not at the film set or at school?
I'm sorry to say that I don't have a lot of free time. And apart from filming school takes a lot of my time.

How do you feel being a child star?
I was used to all the fuss about being a child star after about five years.

How do you keep your feet onto the ground?
I don't have a secret recipe for it. Everything happens to me just as it happens. I don't try every evening to shake off any arrogance. I think this is because of the good influence of my parents. They would tell me at once if I was a bit 'feeling myself better than other people.'

Do you sometimes think about your huge success?
No, not really. I'm not actually looking for big fame. I think acting is more exciting than attending movie premieres. True, it's a strange feeling, being treated like you are a famous artist or something. And sure, you can get used to this feeling, but I don't want it.

Aren't you proud of your movies then?
Of course. For a movie of two and a half hours I invest every time 9 to 12 months of my life. When you look at it it's great that people talk to me and with their applause give me a sort of Thank You. But I don't want that I suddenly feel that this is normal.

Do paparazzi photographers bother you in your private life?
I'm glad that they don't. British tabloid papers with their gossip can sometimes be a pain in the neck. But maybe in our case they hold themselves back because we're still children.

Can you go out without any problem?
Without a problem. Only I have to put on a baseball cap or something, because they don't recognise you immediately. This really helps.

Do you notice that HP fans have grown up beside you?
Every time. Somebody who's seen the first Harry Potter movie at the age of 10 or 11 is at this time a full grown Teenager. If you notice this it makes sense that the movies are becoming more adult every time.
