| | | Church uses Potter books to teach thankfulness The Free Lance Star has an article about a church in Fredericksburg that has been using the Harry Potter books to teach thankfulness. Quote:
Some are holding fellowship dinners, worship services and collecting donations for those less fortunate. Others are trying something a little different, like the Hogwarts Thanksgiving the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fredericksburg held yesterday.
The fellowship used characters from the popular Harry Potter books to teach thankfulness, then held a potluck supper and put together food baskets for the needy.

Finally. A church that doesn't burn books. See, they did something nice. Now why can't you other churches do that instead of burning the books?

I think it says something about the situation when one church showing a favourable attitude towards Harry Potter makes the news...

Apparently, this church has actually read the books. What a concept!

I should tell my pastor about that.... He is totally nuts about Harry Potter. We "argue" about what is going to happen in the future books. lol. Anyway, I think its great that a church is doing something related to Harry Potter.
