Chris Rankin, who plays Percy Weasley in the first three Harry Potter movies, has confirmed that he will be in 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix', set to begin filming the February. This answers the debate about whether his character would appear on screen after his role was cut from Goblet of Fire.

I am glad to Chris is returning. Percy had a big role in GoF but not so much in OotP, so I really don't understand the producers cutting him from movie 4 then including him the next movie where his character has a much smaller part in the book. It's just odd, to me.

I don't get it... he wasn't in GOF where he was esential in the book but he is going to be in OOTP where he isn't. Oh well thats Hollywood. lol. I hope they keep all the same cast it won't be the same without them.

I am glad that Chris will be returning, I felt badly when he was cut from GOF. But, as others have said, his role in GOF was much bigger then OoTP. I fear that even though Percy scenes may be filmed, there is no guarentee they won't end up on the cutting room floor as well.
