The ' Philosopher's Stone' and ' Chamber of Secrets' director, Chris Columbus, has been quoted in an article for The Scotsman which deals with the family and money pressures which child celebrities can sometimes suffer with.
What Chris says about Dan Radcliffe shows how supportive parents and a sensible attitude toward money can help avoid any conflicts in the life of a teen star.
"I wanted to make sure the parents were okay," Chris said of his involvement in the Potter films. "In the case of Daniel Radcliffe, who played the lead, you couldn’t find two more supportive parents. My biggest question was, if the kid says, ‘I want to stop!’, will you let them stop? Macaulay Culkin was in a situation where they kept putting him in movie after movie. I was never sure he wanted to make films - to him, it seemed like a job."
The article also compares the sensible views on money that Dan Radcliffe and Charlotte Church share.
"I don’t know how much money I have, and I don’t need to know because I’m only a kid." said Dan.

I don't think they would. Emma's only just turned 15 which is how old Hermione is in GoF and the others are only slightly older.
But Rupert & Tom will be 19/20 by the time OotP is released. Scary thought! BUT STAY ONTOPIC - the article is about money issues and supportive parental units.

Dan is just to much. Him not caring about the amount of money he makes really shows how down to earth he is.  Props to him!
And as for new actors/actress I dont think it would be the same at all. They are just to good to give it all up now..

I heard that all of Dan's money is in saveins and that he gets minimal amounts of cash,which he spends on c.d's and other music related things.

Its cool that Dan said that but he already knows he has a ton of money from these movies. In order to be happy at a job you need to work like you don't need the money and that is what he is doing.
