Cho auditions attract thousands! - Summary:
Thousands of budding actresses have queued for hours in freezing cold London in the hope of landing the role of Harry Potter's love interest. Article: CBBC Newsround reports: Quote: They travelled miles to audition for the part of Cho Chang - the Ravenclaw seeker who wins Harry's heart.
Cho doesn't appear in the movie for the third book Prisoner of Azkaban, but there was no way film-makers were leaving her out of Goblet of Fire.
A spokeswoman for Warner Bros. said around 3,000 hopefuls turned up.
"We hope to see everyone who comes along. We're going as fast as we can," she added.
Katie, 13, from Middlesex, reckoned she had a three-hour wait in front of her.
"I've done worse. I waited five hours to audition for S Club Juniors," she said.
"I'm just here for the experience."
Susan, 16, originally from South America, started queuing at 7am.
"It's really cold, but it doesn't matter. I've read all the books. I want to be her!"
Jess, 13, from Guildford, said she wasn't too bothered about getting the part - she'd been dragged along by her friends.
Laugh
She was just going in for her audition, but she said she felt fine.
"I don't feel nervous. I'm just doing it for a laugh," she giggled. Thanks to TLC for the heads up!
There are some great pics of the girls in line to audition (potential Cho Changs) and more footage over at the link below. CBBC Newsround |

OH, I was reading this on HPANA. I hope they're not rushing on finding an actress to play Cho. I really want to know who'll be doing the part but if she won't be appearing in the PoA, then I don't think they need to rush, if they are.

 Wishing I could be Cho... Actually I really don't understand why they don't choose kids from other countries for other parts...because not all wizards live in England, and not all Hogwarts students do either...it never mentions it in the book, but i definitely think that some of the students would be from America!!! |

And the auditions proved we have thousands of Oriental girls here so WB dont need to go anywhere else.

Think before you say something.
America's a big country, well obviously they'd have their own magical school to attend. So, no they dont need Americans for HP.
