Children prefers HP books to HP movies - children likes HP books, not the movies

Summary:
Sherissa Moses, 17, a senior at Northwest High, didn't like the film either.
"Harry Potter is so much better than the movie," Moses said about the book.

Article:

Dani Brown, a junior at Northwest High School, threw one of her flip-flops when she saw the Harry Potter movie.

The film skipped some parts of the book, the 16-year-old said.

Sherissa Moses, 17, a senior at Northwest High, didn't like the film either.

"Harry Potter is so much better than the movie," Moses said about the book.

That opinion is shared by many of the six to 12 students in Moving Words, a program at the Roanoke Public Library. For the past year, the students have read a novel and then met at the library on Wednesday night to watch the movie adaptation. The following week, they compare the two versions.

Parents must sign a permission slip for students to see R-rated films.

The students participate on their own time. They don't receive school credit.

"We do it for ourselves," Susie Stephens, 15, a freshman at Northwest, said.

I was SO mad when in the first movie they left out Neville! He was there in the forest, I tells ya! I thought that Neville was very important and they just chopped him out! I was soooo VERY MAD!
I was also mad that they shortened the scene where Snape picks on Harry on their first day in Potions. I know, it IS in the deleted scenes, but it needed to be in the movie!
I also couldn't believe that they cut Draco and Lucius out of the Knocturn Alley scene in the 2nd movie! The whole point of Harry being down there was that he heard Lucius talk about Dark Arts! Why even bother showing that part if you cut out Lucius, Mr. Borgin, and Draco?! Again, this WAS in the deleted scenes, but it just made me so mad.
I know, it's hard NOT to cut things, but why did they have to take out Neville?! It's not fair! He was the best in the first book- he was so brave. And it brings a tad bit more to Draco- when he scares Neville in the woods. Shows that he'll pick on anyone.
Enough ranting. I'm done. >

I have gotten mad because i had figured the movies to show what i thought would have been intense to add to the trill of the movies. Theyre ok but not as good as the books.

I agree the books are better. You lose so much information with the movies. They are great but the books just give you so many details. You just can't lose.

The books are definatly more interesting than the movies!!! I think that is because the books have more detail.
