| | |  Cheating among Potter fans
CBBC Newsround have announced this weeks result in Your Charts. Sadly, they acknowledge that cheating did occur on the part of Emma Watson and Rupert Grint fans, who got involved in a heated contest, and therefore there's no celebrity winner for this week.
They also warn that if cheating continues, votes will be disqualified. You are meant to vote only once a day; voting far more rapidly (or 'stuffing', as it's become known) constitutes as cheating and therefore will get your votes disqualified. I know SSers are better than that, so let's not 'stuff' guys! Quote:
There was a surge in votes from Emma Watson and Rupert Grint fans on the celeb chart this week. So much so, it broke the vote!
This means that there is no change on the poll this week.
We are also aware of some cheating on the celeb vote, and we will disqualify entries if it continues.
Potter is STILL your fave thing and film.

People seem to cheat like that, whenever there is a contest where you vote.
When People vote on shows like TRL, they vote tons of times. I don't like cheating. Emma should of won anyways.  | |

Not really. After well over 6 months of Rupert, it'd be suspicious for her to win especially when there's no big Emma news about to explain the sudden popularity. Quote:

No.  They don't prevent you from voting once a day but they do log IP's and if you vote consistantly (like lots of fans did) then they can track that and delete said votes. 'Stuffing' is bad because it loses votes. Vote every 10 minutes or so.

I *knew* Emma fans were cheating! That's why a certain webmistress was mad at me. This also proves that Rupert fans never really cheated in the past, either. Otherwise they would've done this long ago. Quote:

LOL It's quite hilarious. With the American holiday last week, I think Emma fans had the advantage. That's the only reason they got so far ahead, and obviously they were cheating. Quote:

I had a feeling. I didn't think it was set by cookies because you get to go back like a minute later and re-vote. lol Those of you on dial-up can just reconnect and they wouldn't know the difference. Those of us on DSL, such as myself, can't do that. We have a static IP addresses. Quote:

Rupert's been a winner for months. The first time Emma becomes real competition, cheating emerges. That's a developing pattern, me thinks. Yup. And it's hard to believe that if we were so ferciously cheating, and Emma fans were minding their own business and following the rules, that it took us two to three days to get within 4% of her. I mean, in order for that statistic to work for every cheating Rupert fan, there'd have to be 10 to 20 Emma fans. Possibly more. And there is no way. LOL
