It's every Harry Potter fan's dream: to have a role in one of the movies. Up till now, any offer of money (even just to be an extra) has been turned down, but now, JK Rowling says she will create extra roles in 'Goblet of Fire' to raise cash for multiple sclerosis. The two walk-on roles in the film are the star lots of an auction to be held at a £175-a-head gala dinner in Edinburgh next month.

M.Mcgonagal01 i agree on what you have said. I dont understand why but why must she limit the actors and actresses of all the HP movies to the UK only? Im sure there are many other people in the world dying to act in the movie. Im sure there are many talented actors out there in the world..in the US. everywhere..she should giv more peeps a chance to try it out. -sigh-

the idea is to make money for charity guys, please remeber that, the part isn't actually the important thing!

I thought JK cast the parts o.o it would be more appropriate considering shes the creator of all of it and she knows whats needed for each role, but i supose she has some say

like i said, the gala is invitation only, because it's for charity. The aim is to raise big amounts of money not to sell the part. The charity is the important bit and you're all failing to remeber that. You're all so worried about making your opinions heard on how it's so unfair that you cant try out for a fim.

well I was thinking since GOF does have the world cup she is going to have to ( casting people) open it up to poeple outaside of the UK. For one: the french team will need to sound french

( not as convincing if they aren't) not undermining that they cant .. well and the scene needs people from all over..I'm sure they could get kids from the UK but please now we dont want that..or they might end up by the 7th film casting all of UK.

JK but you understand..outside uk plez.

i too was very eager to get a part in the film for parvati patil(i'm an indian), but i guess it's not possible to pay for the role. n i don't think extra characters is a good idea! :flowersmile:

I would have given anything to be for instance hermine or cho in these movies... extras would of course be cool just to be on the set but id love to really be apart of the magical world there....but stil, aint it just nice to watch it all and really live through the books and movies, not see all the backstage stuff etc etc.

im not english and im 20 anyways. hehe. so that was my actress career

I have to agree with Miss Riddle This thread has gone way off topic someone very dear to me has MS and it is an very horrible and devastating thing to have. She has trouble breathing because the liesions (Scar-ing) are in the area of her spinal cord that controls how she breathes. I am glad JK Rowling is trying to help get money to fight such a horrible disease. I may not like the thought of new characters but if is going to help raise money for finding a cure for MS great. Besides walk on parts could simply be like a policeman or a person on the platform 9 and 3/4 they wouldn't necessarily say anything they would just be seen.
