| | |  Broadway Cares Equus bear pre-auction online
A bear modelled after a scene in Equus is being auctioned off to raise funds for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids. The online pre-auction has now begun. Bids can be made here up until February 14th at 2pm EST. Bidding is currently at $650.
The item will also go into a live auction on February 15th for further bids - absentee bidding is available for those who cannot attend the event, where several bears from various Broadway shows will be auctioned off, at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill 237 W42nd Street in New York.
The item has been signed by stars of the play, including Dan Radcliffe. Photos of the bear and Dan posing with it, can be seen here and here.

The Equus bear is alright but I already have an Equus play bill signed by the entire Equus cast, thats enough, pluss the Equus bear is just plain creepy

ROFL!  This feel so deja vu-ish XD At the end of Equus I thought Dan looked like a teddy bear and now he got turned into a teddy 
But anyways, I love the teddies :3

hmmm - interesting !!? in a B&D sort of way! Hope it makes a lot of money but it would be hard to explain as part of your "teddy bear" collection!
the makers have gone to some trouble to make the metal "horses head" as used in the play. Lovin' the little blue bear that's represents Alan (Dan) though! LOL!

i don't know whether to laugh or cringe. its weird to see something as innocent as teddy bears being used to represent the equus play ... and we all know that the story line of equus is not so innocent.
but strangely enough ... i still think its kinda cute lol
