We previously told you that The Daily Mirror wanted Potter fans to vote for the child who they thought should represent the newspaper at the ' Half-Blood Prince' Conference.
The newspaper has now announced that Megan Calcott, 10, from North London, is their winner. Quote:
Megan, from North London - who beat meningitis aged four - said: "I'm so excited. I love the books. I've read some at least five times."

Megan will join earlier announced winners, Rosie Jenkins and Amy Rice, at Edinburgh Castle on the weekend of the HBP book release.

The Daily Telegraph just had a article where you entered and could win a trip for the Half Blood Prince press confrence. I entered of course, but the questions were very easy.
I believe they were:
1. What are the names of Harry's two best friends at Hogwarts?
2. Who is the darkest wizard of all whose name is never to be said?
3. What is Harry and Ron's favourite sport?
4.What is the name of the family that raised Harry?
5. What is the shape of the scar Harry has on his face?
How easy is that?!? She is one lucky girl though!

Well her drawing looked good. There was one of Norbert which was quite good too.
Lucky her! Have you guys noticed how most of the people chosen are still very young? Sure they won and all, but I hope they do a good job at reporting. I mean, no offence to the people who have won because they are seriously lucky, but I hope a 10-year old girl is capable of doing a good report of the event.(I'm not British or American, and English being my second language, I don't know how well students can write at that age)

Yeah, I thought the Norbert, Dobby and Fawkes ones were better but they were done by older fans which might be why they weren't chosen.
Generally by 10 girls can write well and are pretty literate. I say girls because generally boys mature slower and so many pay less attention in school, although I don't mean that as a general comment.
So far, the winners are all girls and are aged, 12, 10 and 10.
