| | |  Bloomsbury reveals new look for Harry Potter series
Bloomsbury, U.K. publishers of the Harry Potter books, today announced a new look for the seven titles in the series. Illustrated by Clare Melinsky, the new ‘Signature’ look was created to appeal to the next generation of readers. Quote:
Clare Melinsky commented, ‘I was delighted and excited to be asked to illustrate the covers for such massively famous books – and seven of them! It was top secret for the best part of a year.’

 I actually really love these! I think they really capture the essence of each book. And I think I'll buy them  If they're targeted for kids though, I think kids would prefer the older editions just because they seem to be more colorful. But still, these are gorgeous

They kind of look a little bit more kiddy like, you know? It looks like those books that attempt to be HP or something but are more for like little kids...maybe I'm the only one that thinks that.
Eh, the art is nice but I like the orginal. It looked more fun, more Potter-like (can't explain it)...although the Deathly Hallows one looks fantastic and mysterious. I guess they're just trying to relaunch it for the new generation but I still say ours were the best.

I love these. The colors are bright and beautiful but there's still a minimalist aspect which I really like. Now these look like the classic stories everyone will grow up reading!
By the way, my favorite is the one for PoA. Beautiful.

They're cute, but the only thing I don't like is the font for "Harry Potter." I just feel like that should stay the same, it's kinda like the trademark or something... IDK, maybe it's just me...

I like them but I'm sticking with the original covers.They have been through quite a lot. Sentimental value you might say. So would I buy these new sets, most likely not but we'll see.

I ..... don't like them. 
Not sure what it is, maybe I'm just so used to the bright and colourful originals, that I can't imagine them any other way...
But no.I will not be buying these.
To be truthful, if I'd never read Harry Potter before, I wouldn't be drawn to these based on the covers.It was partly the colourfulness (not a word, but you get my meaning) that attracted me to pick up the first book...And then obviously the story got me hooked.
I guess I'm alone in really disliking them, though. lol
