| | | Bloomsbury announce their HBP reporter Bloomsbury have announced that Vhari Leishman is the winner of their ' Half-Blood Prince' conference reporter contest. Her competition entry reads: Quote:
I've just spent a whole day of my exam leave - note I said spent, not wasted - trying to think of something witty to say in under fifty words. I belong to the Harry Potter generation. Before the fame, the movies and the merchandise came us, reading the books before bedtime.
Runners up include; Suresh Guptara, Kathleen Oliver, Neeliya De Silva, Victoria Turk, Naomi Bass, Larissa Felix, Reese Bennett, Gemma Ackerley, Cara Flynn, Richard Falconer and Miranda Ostler.
Their entries can be read here.

I like what was said. Us, the readers, were first not the other stuff. Just a book with a cover, pages and ink. Our minds build individual Hogwarts and that is what is special about reading. I am so glad the books are out well before the movies.

We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.
Cause Hogwarts is bigger than any of us, of any of it's founders,
and it's going to be around long after we're gone.
Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.
No matter how long you're away from it, there's always a way back. |

Usually I don`t say "Yes, yes, you`re right" and so on, but this time I have to do that. Absolutely agree!!!!!!

She may be lucky, but I find that her entry was quite original, and direct because she didn't blabber about how great the magical world is. She focused on what makes the Harry Potter world so magical, the readers.
