In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, Empire ran a special Irish feature which included a ' Best Irish Actors' section.
The late, great Richard Harris, who played Dumbledore in ' Philosopher's Stone' and ' Chamber of Secrets', won the title of 'Best Irish Actor'.
Other Irish greats named, who also appear in the Harry Potter movies, are Kenneth Branagh (Lockhart) and Brendan Gleeson (Mad-Eye Moody).

To be fair, it's 'Best Irish Actors'. Just because he's Irish, doesn't mean he should qualify. These are, after all, established Irish actors who've been going at it for decades and are truly worthy of honour.

Richard Harris was my favorite dumbledore! I miss his majestic look. Brendon Gleeson is a really good actor, that is really cool! FFFRRREEEDDDOOOMMMM!(Braveheart)

I think they deserved to be metioned because they are all fantastic. But I have to say my favorite out of all of them is Richard Harris. I miss him as Dumbledore..and he always gave funny interveiws.

Richard Harris was my favorite Dumbledore too.....as far as mad eye moody, I hope he doesn't have a very heavy irish accent, because I don't think that would fit my interpretation of him......but all in all, they are all very good actors.

I definitely agree that Richard Harris was an extrordinary actor. I was so upset when I found out he had passed on...I wasn't looking forward to a new Dumbledore. Now, the current Dumbledore does fine...it was just...new. That's all. Richard Harris will truly be missed and it's good to see his work was appreciated
