J.K. Rowling's newly published The Tales of Beedle the Bard has become the fastest-selling book in 2008 for the UK. Selling 367,625 in the first three days after December 4th, it has easily outsold the second-fastest selling book in the same time period: the Guinness World Records 2009.

it is not a contest between HP and Twilight series...anyone who thinks it is must go and find a hobby. They are totally separate animals....the only reason it features on the HP fan sites is because of Robert Pattinson....*mmmm*

This news actually really surprises me. I had no idea people would actually want this book so badly.

I think it's a reaction to the endless comparisons that the media insist upon drawing, regardless of whether they have any foundation.

Though in terms of sales, it is a competition, which HP clearly won.
