| | | Azkaban film was 'boring' - CBBC Press Packer reports Summary:
One fan has found the film PoA boring and reckons Lupin was geeky in the film! Article: Azkaban film was 'boring' CBBC Press Packer Katy, 14, from London, thought the film 'Prisoner of Azkaban' was boring. Amongst other things, she claims Lupin was geeky. I was under the impression that Lupin was in fact the intelligent one of the marauders, but he certainly was not geeky, just being a teacher!
Here is some of what she thought. Read the rest of it here. Quote: I imagined Lupin to be a cool guy and quite funny but his character was really geeky in the film.* Quote: Too much time was spent concentrating on Hermione and not Harry Potter.* Quote: The only way Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is linked to the book is via the names of the characters.* Source: CBBC Newsround
I found it anything but boring. It was exciting the see the proper scenery. I also thought Sirius and Lupin were exactly in character, as I had imagined. I do agree on the Hermione comment though, I did feel she seemed to be focused more on than Harry, especially when she claims she trusted Lupin - it would have made more sense to have Harry say that as he trusted Lupin to teach him to rid himself of the torment of the dementors and Hermione and Lupin never really had any time alone, for her to trust him for any special reason other than for a teacher/pupil relationship. |

I think that Michael Gambon was awesome! Sure he could never take the other guys place(forgot his name going blank here.......) anyways i think that that was the best movie out of the HP series. And its not really that bad that they showed Hermione a lot because she wasn't shown that much during the first two movies.

That was the most noticeable difference between this and the other two films. :sorcerer: WHAT? what was wrong with the senery i thought it made the film after all Hogwarts is sent in Scotland where it was filmed. u will notice the diffrence in GOF cos it isnt shot here.
i loved POA it was so much better than the first two i cant even explain why. leave the scenery alone it was a great addition to the movie.

Lupin was great,, and H/Hr were great too! *Snigger* Totally agree...
I'm sorry but the only dissapointing thing of POA was - the ending. it seemed as thought they jsut squished the Firebolt scene because they forgot about ti or something.. and the freezee frame...Gosh - i didn't like that at all! And i AM A harry-Dan supporter! |

I have to agree with some of the points made in that article, such as it was a huge disapointment with the lack of explanation for the Mauders (there was one line in the Shrieking shack, but it went to fast with all the bickering) and Harry's patronus was unexplained. Anyway, I feel that Hermione was over-done, but she was meant to be in this one, but not the way they did it. In the books Hermione struggled to handle her time table and was tired and late and grumpy, which is normal and makes her character real. But in the movies she just seemed to becoming a rebel, without all the emotion. Book!Hermione is one of my favorite character's, but movie!Hermione is fast coming one of my least favorite character's, because she isn't real.
As for that Lupin comment, did this young lady even read the book? Lupin is meant to be 'geeky' (not a fair word to use, though). He is meant to be like Hermione, bossy, but really a softy. Quote: H/Hr were great too Great as in it really showed their platonic love and brother-sister relationship, totally!

| OMG. WHAT IN GODS NAME IS THIS PERSON THINKING??????? PoA was not, i repeat NOT a boring movie. It is, and most of you will agree with me, the BEST Harry Potter movie so far, it outstripes Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets by a mile and a half. This person must be from planet Mars if she found it boring. they mustn't understand the concept. |

Also after Lupin fought off harry boggart and harry is just standing there look at where his scar is. Its on his left but in all the other movies and the beginning and the rest of this one its on the right hmmm

I found it a bit boring actually. But then again, the second time I read the book I was a bit bord.
I deffinatly enjoyed the first two films more. I don't know why, they just felt more complete too me. Something about this movie made me feel that it was stuck on fastfoward and it was just dull.

Hmmm, well, I don't think it should be called boring, from the time turner to where Harry and Hermione got back to the hospital wing was SO exciting! espaically where they were being chased by the werewolf. But lets change the word boring to something thats a bit more true. it was so *thinks hard for the right word* serious and uncheerful. It shouldn't be too serious because it wasn't that serious in the book, and it was extremely uncheerful. i think they should have added more color to the story. the story is based inside Hogwarts. The movie hardly showed any signs that its a castle at all. And it also should have had a bit more of a story line, there was none in the movie which greatly disappointed me  They just cut from scene to scean which is a personal insult to me! And as for Lupin, well, they didn't do a good job on him whatsoever! He was supposed to have "shabby robes" which J.K. Rowling kept on mensioning, and should also look very tired. The movie showed neither; he had slightly to big robes but they were in fine condition, and he certainly did not look tired. Ummm, for they showed Hermione more than Harry? Well, to be honest, I think it was good they put alot more of Hermione in the book, in the other two movie she was kind of shunted aside and only Harry was showed. Diffently, DIFFENENTLY PoA was not better than CoS. What in the world are you guys playing at!?
P.S. I think its amazing how touchy HP fans get when they're on the subject whether the movie was good or not. *Rolls eyes*
