| | | Australian company signs up to do effects for the 'flaming goblet' in GoF
Rising Sun Pictures, an Australian digital animation company has signed up to do the 'flaming goblet' effects in the Goblet of Fire film according to The Mercury. Quote:
NSW Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer and Campbelltown MP Graham West said the contract was a glowing endorsement of Australia's reputation for animation and visual effects.
"This is fantastic news and soon the whole world will be watching the best animation and special effects - all courtesy of the wizards of Oz," he said.
Quote:
Key to its success is a piece of remote-viewing software it invented called Cinesync, which allows Warner Bros in London or Los Angeles to view images simultaneously with the artists.
"This eliminates the problem of distance so Australia can now compete with companies working in the heart of Hollywood," animator Wayne West said.
Quote:
Rising Sun Pictures expects to have about 80 staff work on the project, and hire 20 visual artists.

When they were playing it on the news they showed a man that was designing it. Well in the background it actually had the goblet sitting on the computer screen! It looks good

All I remember seeing is someone that looked like a quidditch player which I am guessing is from the World Cup scene. But they said it was going to be really good and my sister's friends sister is part of the staff
