Audio: First set of Harry Potter cast Exhibition/Deathly Hallows I press conferences
Two sets of press conferences took place on Monday morning to promote the opening of Harry Potter: the Exhibition at Discovery Time Square in New York City, as well as the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I on DVD and Blu-ray. Warner Bros has provided audio for the sets that the Harry Potter fansites were not involved with (those which SnitchSeeker were a part of will be released and reported on soon), and were split as such (please note there is a bit of strong language throughout):
David Thewlis, Natalia Tena, Evanna Lynch, Warwick Davis, Freddie Stroma, Robbie Coltrane, Helen McCrory, David Barron
Clemence Poesy, Domhnall Gleeson, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Bonnie Wright, Mark Williams, Michael Gambon, David Heyman
Unfortunately photography was not allowed during the press conferences, which took place within the Sorting room at the entrance of the Exhibition. During the press conferences, the cast and producers discussed their work in the series, the camaraderie on set, teased on the final film, Deathly Hallows: Part II, and discussed fan experiences throughout the years.
Helen McCrory commented on working alongside Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort and how much of a master actor he was in his element. Robbie Coltrane discussed Hagrid's relationship with Harry throughout the films, as well as how he's received fan mail from children who would love to have Hagrid as a protective father-figure. The cast also commended on how much of a leader Daniel Radcliffe was on set, and went to great lengths to make new actors and crew feel comfortable on set. David Heyman gave specific comments on the footage shown the last day of filming in June 2010.
The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I Blu-ray and DVD sets, out on April 11, 2011 in the U.K. and April 15, 2011 in the U.S., can be pre-ordered on the WB Shop or Amazon at the links below. A list of international dates for the DVD's release can be found here.
