The Scottish Evening News have announced their winner for the ' Half-Blood Prince' Edinburgh Castle contest. Katie MacDonald, 9, from Newington, talks about her win. Quote:
"I am really looking forward to meeting JK Rowling and being at Edinburgh Castle," said Katie.
"My favourite character is Hermione because she's very stubborn and brainy and good at spells."

"Debbie (step-mum) told me I'd won when I got home from school and I was so excited I just ran over and jumped on her and she lifted me up in the air!" said Katie.

She's very lucky and she seems nice enough but yet again I am rather dicouraged since it's another person under the age of 13. I havent read about any winner over that age bracket. I would love someone between the age of 13-16 years old to win because then I know that there is at least some fair representation of the age groups at this event. | |

Congrats to her! She's really lucky!
And once again, my suspicion that because HP is always thought of as a children's book, which in my opinion the more it evolves, the more it moves away from your average children's book, a very young reporter was chosen, has been confirmed over again.
