| | |  Amazon receives 2 million pre-orders
On April 8th, we announced that Amazon had reached 1 million pre-orders for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Now, the number has doubled to over 2 million! And with 4 days to go before the release of the novel, it has beaten previous record-holder Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince for which Amazon had received 1.5 million pre-orders.

Just in case the " why" was an actual question, you might have gotten the free super saver shipping. I know mine is marked to come on those dates too, but 2 years ago for HBP I got the same free shipping and the same email... and it came the day it was released.
So yeah... I wouldn't worry too much yet, Amazon's always been really dependable for me.

If it's not here by 7 pm on Friday (which it probably won't) then I'm gonna take the kids to the midnight bash and get one then. I just hope that the books do arrive, like you said. I've been quite disappointed all day. There's no way I can go a week. There will be spoilers everywhere and JKR doing that talk show. Nope no way...
