Alfonso Cuaron, the direct of the third Potter movie, was at the BAFTAs in London just recently when he first heard of the rumours of him directing the Deathly Hallows movie. He described being able to do this as 'something sweet'. A video interview can be seen here

I really hope he doesn't, don't get me wrong I think he is an awesome director but I just don't think he is right for the HP movies, but hey thats just my opinion
