Post Alfonso Cuaron unlikely to return to Potter films

ComingSoon.net has a new interview with Alfonso Cuaron [the director of 'Prisoner of Azkaban'] in which he mentions the possibility of returning to the franchise.

Quote:
"At this point today? No," he told us with a smile, "but I can tell you that I spent the most beautiful two years of my life doing 'Harry Potter'. Everything around the J.K. Rowling product is surrounded by this very beneficial energy. It's fantastic to be around her and associated with it. I don't know. In the future, if I'm invited, I would consider it definitely because it was such a beautiful experience, but in the same hand, I'm not very good about repeating stuff that I did before."

Well, I liked him for some things, but I HATED him for what he did to PoA! Where was the Marauders storyline? And more importantly, how could JK just let that slide! He tore it apart he did! But I liked some other stuff, like moving up to Scotland, changing the uniform and stuff..

I think they should keep changing directors. It keeps it fresh and new...

That's a shame. He has been my favorite director so far. He balanced everything better than the other's in my opinion. He did a wonderful job directing, and those special effects! I would have liked to see him do HBP.

I honestly hope he doesn't return to filing HP books. Azkaban was a mockery. Christopher Columbus did a wonderful job portraying the books as movies. They were magical and enchanting. PoA was my favorite book, and he ruined it by jumping to the darker, heavier tone that didn't appear until late in book four. The tone should have been a little happier at the fact that he has a god-parent, and none of that came through in the movie. They switched crucial plot details, (Harry got the broom ealier, not after Sirius had been rescued) there was no quidditch cup...all in all, it was my least favorite movie.

I hope you hear this, Christopher Columbus, I want you back!!!!

The movie was different with him directing but it was still very good. He added new twists that some people didn't like but overall I liked it a lot. You can tell he was a bit iffy about doing another film but a new director brings a new outlook from someone else's viewpoint
