| | | Alan Rickman still gets the ladies - amusing comment from the UK Premiere Summary:
The Telegraph has an amusing comment about Alan Rickman's appearance at the UK Premiere. Article: Alan Rickman still gets the ladies
There's not many men who, at the age of 58, could achieve as many screams from girls as Daniel Radcliffe at the UK PoA Premiere. But Alan Rickman managed that feat. The Telegraph notes: Quote: Alan Rickman, also attended the premiere. Rickman, who plays the sinister potions teacher Professor Snape, looked amused at a banner that read: "Give us a detention, Mr Rickman." The article also notes that JK did not attend the NY Premiere. The Hogwarts Galleries also has pictures of Alan, who plays Professor Snape, with some adoring fan's banners. You can see one of them here.

Yeah I saw them in an intrview on the Love Actually DVD. Emma said they're like a married couple whereas Alan took care to stress that they're not married. I dont think he's married at all. :/
No, he's not married, but he has been living with (his companion is) Rima Horton since 1977. They actually met when he was 19 and she was 18... she was in an acting company together with him... then taught... and even dabbled in politics.
You can see her teacher photo @ http://humansciences.king.ac.uk/~ku16618/horr.html

| I love the character of Snape, he is so harsh on the surface, but if there was danger you know you could rely on him to get you out of it. I just love the way Rickman plays Snape- stalking around the school, looking down his nose at everyone, shutting people up with a cutting remark. He almost seems to float with those robes flowing about behind him.
58 though, wow! I didn't think he was that old that is two years younger than my Dad! Isn't Snape in the books supposed to be 43 or something like that?

Agreed Scarlet, Snape is one of the best characters of the book, deffinantly diffrent in my books. I would have never guessed 58, never, I would have thought at the most late 40's, early 50's but never 58.
I dont think they could have picked a better actor to play the part of Snape, Alan acts it the best I could even imagine. He's amazing |

No wonder he "gets the ladies". With that Voice, that black wig and Snapeīs Dark Eyes... You could drown in them
Iīm a Snape-fan, also in books, heīs probably the most interestinī character JK has created. I have to admit, that if somebody else played the role maybe I wouldnīt be so eager to see the movies. Havenīt seen the third one yet, though.

As a matter of fact Rowling has said heīd be 35 or something. Now I donīt know when it was... So Rickman is acting a role 20 years younger than himself. Thatīs nothing unusual: Charisma Carpenter is 7 years older than Sarah Michelle Gellar, but played in Buffy the Vampire Slayer a girl who was at the same age as Buffy.

They were at the same grade, but the other one was Slythering while the other was most likely Gryffindor , as James Potter, Remus Lupin and -yak- Peter Pettigrew (or whatever his name was). Might have had some classes at same time, though, like Harry and Draco... Sorry, my English is sometimes a little bit poor, might have missunderstood what you meant by "class"
They were at the same age, anyway, and worst enemies... well, almost anyway...
[OT] Itīs those years the books describe Iīm a little bit confused about. Does Harryīs first year beginīon 1991 or what?[OT]

not exactly a hunk I donīt exactly like hunks, if a "hunk" means somebody like Draco (or Lucius!) Malfoy or Eminem or anybody like that. I donīt even like Tom Cruise (exept maybe in Interwiev with a vampire...yeah, there he looked allmost human with that long hair). But thatīs only my opinion.
But I Loo-o-ove professor Snape *sigh* Could eat him easily...

He's the sexiest older man I have ever seen! I love Alan Rockman, not just for his looks but also for his acting skills. He seems like he would be a cool guy to sit around with and talk and goof off with.
