| | | Ain't it Cool News reviews 'Goblet of Fire'
Quint from Ain't it Cool News has reviewed ' Goblet of Fire'. The review does contain film spoilers so read it at your own discretion. Quote:
Every key member of the cast gets at least one moment to shine. Alan Rickman is such an inspired bit of casting for Snape. I can't wait for the film where Snape gets more than just a little nibble here or there. He's really only in a small portion of the movie, but the filmmakers must have recognized this problem early on and gave him a fantastic and silent scene with the kids while they're supposed to be working. Can't wait for HALF-BLOOD PRINCE to really see Rickman get his time in the limelight!
Quote:
I also found that Emma Watson's performance in the movie was a bit over the top. After her extremely natural performance in AZKABAN, I was actually a little shocked at how over the top she was throughout the whole movie, her eyebrows dramatically rising and falling with every little thing she said.
Daniel Radcliffe is... well, he is Harry Potter. He's attached to the role and the role to him. I wish him well in his post Potter career, but no matter what he does, short of curing cancer, he will always be Harry Potter. I love that about these films, personally.
Rupert Grint comes close to stealing the movie, though. Grint, like Radcliffe with Potter, IS Ron Weasley. His character is more fun to play, I'm sure, but of the group Grint seems the most natural with the character. I'd be shocked if Grint isn't exactly like Ron in real life, he embodies the character that much.

Cool and Agree! Quote:
Ralph Fiennes is a great actor and absolutely perfect in the role, bringing a sort of theatrical menace to Voldemort
Great! Love it already. Quote:

Hmm, one person says she's doing absolutley fine, the other one says she's over the top. Have to watch it myself then to find out. Quote:
She's not bad, don't get me wrong. She's still Hermione, but of the three leads she's the only one I felt took a step back instead of forward from the last movie. To be fair, her work in this movie is much more high strung than the previous films. And I thought she nailed the scene where, in tears, she tells Ron off for not asking her to the Yule Ball, yet being a dick about her going with Krum.
Well, what is it, good or bad? And she took a step back. Hmm, we'll see. Quote:

Oh yeah baby. Rupeys the best!
Spoiler: Select it with your mouse to read it. Quote: For the first 2/3rds of the movie they drop some amazingly subtle hints that just made me smile to beat the devil. I love seeing sleight of hand and every time the audience chuckled at Mad-Eye taking a slug from his flask and shaking off the effects, I was giddy. Such a great way to hide the sucker-punch later and all the better to sell the big reveal. Very cool that they did it like that!

Hogwarts RPG Name: Tyler Perkins First Year | Farmer Carter | | Ama's Secret I would be agreeing witht he Emma thing, I think she can be a very bad actress at the best of times. Rupert plays Ron just naturally and Dan is quite good, but Rupert tops them all of course |

So far that is the only review that has made that comment about Rupert, all the reviews that I have heard is that the trio were equally great!!!
but of course "Ain't it Cool News" is not that legit to even take in consideration...Emma is great not only Rupert..who of course hasn't steal any movie, like I said before no other review but this is the only review that made that statement!!

Hmm... okay then, please read this: Quote: Grint once again demonstrates impeccable comic timing, suffering the embarrassment of a ballroom dancing with Professor McGonagall (Smith)... and the humiliation of frilly secondhand dress robes.
Quote:
Radcliffe continues to mature as actor but it's Watson and Grint who impress most, despite their limited screen time. Sparks of sexual chemistry are clear for all to see. Source: Manchester-online
And, uh.. yeah, this-- Quote:
In the acting department, Daniel Radcliffe seems Harry Potter enough and all the others are competent. But the one who really stands out is the rock star-ish longhaired Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley. There's quite a chemistry between him and Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger.

I actually did catch a bit of overacting in the clips (the asking chicks out for Yule dates one) but for me that will just make the movie even more fun to watch coz it will be like "Oh there she goes hahahah" I love her I really do...shes a perfect hermione! I can't wait to see the cryin bit.She ought to be brill!

I agree with most of the things that were said, mainly that Dan and Rupert are Harry and Ron.

I completely agree with everthing here. I have to say Rupert and Dan made me love their characters more than I did before the movies, but Emma sort of made me dislike Hermione. She's a good actress, but I just don't like the way she portrays the character. She makes her extremely annoying and, in my opinion, unlikable. Also, it's very hard to see Ron falling for her in the movies compared to how easy and obvious it is in the books.

Actually I have heard more than one review explain that Emma was over the top. I will post them here later when I have time. I have also heard some excellent reviews that are just on Rupert and his performance. I'm not surprised because Mike Newell guy said that he was going to change Ron from being just the sidekick and bring him into the light! AMAN TO THAT! Come to the light Ron. I'm sooooooo happy.
