| | |  Afshan Azad in Deathly Hallows, Julie Christie & Shirley Henderson won't return
We have received word from Afshan Azad's agency, Gordon and French, that she will reprise the role of Padma Patil in the final installments of the Harry Potter films, Deathly Hallows. They stated: Quote:
Afshan is still cast in the role of Padma Patil, so you can assume she will appear on the final film.
The most recent photo of Afshan, taken at the Slumdog Millionaire charity fundraiser for Plan UK on August 3, 2009, can be viewed here: 
We also spoke to agents for both Julie Christie (Madam Rosmerta) and Shirley Henderson (Moaning Myrtle) regarding whether or not the actresses will return for Deathly Hallows.
Julie's agent, MFManagement, stated that she has not been cast "to the best of our knowledge."
Shirley's representatives, Hamilton Hodell, said the same, noting that her return is just a "rumour. Not true I'm afraid."
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released on November 19, 2010 and July 15, 2011. | |

That's too bad, I was hoping they did retain the character of Myrtle - she's pretty important otherwise.
I wish they'd just have them thrown in some scene or the other.
I was so disappointed when Trelawney was cut out

I'm glad Afshan Azad will be back ... I hate when they change actors in the middle of a role even if it's through multiple movies, but its sad Julie Christie won't be in the new movies  I like her ... she was listed in the credits for HBP but I swear I didn't see her in the film ... :/

I love the Patil sisters. And I remember the two actresses were really funny in the Yule Ball scene of The Goblet of Fire. She wasn't in Slumdog Millionaire, she just attended their charity event.
