[img]http://www.snitchseeker.com/images/news/hp_grandpre_80.jpg' align='middle'> The "Adult Harry Potter" - A new book compared to the series

Summary:
Yesterday's New York Times Magazine featured a piece on Susanna Clarke's "Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norell," a novel about a friendship of two gentleman sorcerer's in London

Article:

Thanks to TLC we have the quotage from the article comparing this new book to Harry Potter

Quote:
The novel is being compared with abandon in the press to the ''Harry Potter'' books, but it is not for children, unless they are children who really, really love footnotes. It is nearly 800 pages long, but in some ways that number feels arbitrary, as if the novel consisted of just those pages Clarke chose to show, and that she might have easily chosen another 800 from those she kept in reserve.

I might look into it. It gets kind of annoying how many books are compared to HP, doesn't it?

WOW!!!...sounds cool!!!......i think it is worth to check it out......and i am kinda proud they compared the book to Harry Potter.....i mean it is like HP is considered as a touchstone among wizardry books.......HP is like the first series that comes to mind when people talk about wizards.....i think that is really fabulous!!!...

yeah that is annoying. but if its deliberately meant to be compared to hp, doesnt it breach copyrights or something?
