Happy Birthday to Jo Rowling and Harry Potter. J.K.Rowling turns 40 today and her creation, Harry, turns 25.

Not only is it JKR's birthday, it's her 40th birthday!!
If you go to her website, you'll see that her usual coffee mug has been replaced with a glass of champagne. Then if you click on the glass to go to the extras, there is a 40th birthday card.
So hears to Jo; may you have a relaxing birthday full of family & food.
And hears to Harry; may all his birthday wishes come true.

 If it went like that then he would've been 16 in 2003 (OotP) and 18 this year.
The dates are worked out from Nick's deathday which was 1492. He celebrates his 500th deathday in CoS which makes CoS set in 1992/1993 which makes Harry's year born between September 1979 and August 1980.
