Post 8,000 pirated Potters seized

It has been reported that Indian police have seized 8,000 pirated copies of 'Half-Blood Prince' in New Delhi.

Three men were arrested on Sunday after police, acting on a tip, raided a printing house in a north-eastern suburb of the capital.

Quote:
"Normally we seize pirated books from the retailers. This time we succeeded in hitting the source of the racket," said RL Meena, deputy commissioner of police.
The three men have been arrested for violating India's Copyright Act, an offence which carries a two-year prison sentence.

Thanks to Mugglenet for the tip.

What is the fun of reading books that are pirated? And 8000? Well, at least we know that Jo is so famous that it is even pirated...

What is the point of buying a pirated book? Even if it is cheaper, it's not the same book and you're missing out on important information. Just seems like a silly thing to do.

Piracy needs to be controlled and I'm glad the Delhi Police arrested the culprits!
