| | |  5 Visual Effects Society nods
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban got five nominations for the Visual Effects Society's third annual awards:
1. visual f/x in a visual effects-driven feature
2. single visual effect
3. performance by an animated character in a live-action feature
4. models and miniatures
5. compositing
Other nominees include Spider-Man 2, The Aviator, The Day After Tomorrow, and many others.
Here is a complete list of the nominees.
Voting will take place at VESawards.com between January 31 and February 12. The awards will be presented on February 16 at a ceremony at the Hollywood Palladium.

This film had some really amazing special effects... much better than the others but then practice does make perfect!
I hope they win - they deserve something...
