The Hollywood Reporter spoke to an analyst recently, who discussed the Half-Blood Prince IMAX delay; the sixth Harry Potter film will be seen on the larger screen in the majority of the US starting July 29th - a two week push from the original date, July 15th.
It was announced that there will be 12 minutes of 3-D footage in the IMAX version of Half-Blood Prince: Quote:
Still, "Potter" contains 12 minutes of 3-D footage that moviegoers can experience only through Imax, so that could cushion the blow, Merriman Curhan Ford analyst Eric Wold said.

I'm guessing Quidditch might be the 12 mins or it could be a bunch of little things adding up to 12 mins.

well, the imax theatre is 25 mins from me and, like i said before, they always sell cool collector's things there that you cant find elsewhere. So the prospect of spending money on gifts and 12 extra mins will certainly motivate me to take my daughters to Imax for this. too bad the seats are not that comfortable!
