The BBC report today that Amazon.com, the online retailer, have received more than 1 million pre-orders for ' Half-Blood Prince'. Quote:
At this rate, pre-orders should top the 1.3 million pre-orders received for the previous Harry Potter book in 2003.
"Amazon customers are clearly incredibly excited about the sixth Harry Potter book," said Kes Nielsen, senior vendor relations manager at Amazon.co.uk.

I didnt pre-order mine from Amazon, I pre-ordered mine from some independant book club but I forget the name. I got it from them last time too and if it's like last time I should get it in the mail on the 16th. Just to make sure that I get a copy, is that my little brother is getting one too so I said the first one that arrives is mine. Thats just incase only one arrives on the 16th or something. But I'm hoping that both arrive so it doesnt start a big crying match. I cant wait! Yipee!

I didn't preorder mine from Amazon, because it would probably arrive on the 17th or 18th due to the abissmal post service, so I preordered it from a local shop. But that's a huge amount of fans! What's better is that we're a part of the humungous mass of eager fans!!
Come on HBP! You're not banging on our doors to open it for you; we've already opened it with impatience!!

Don't forget that the price has been lowered even further so as to compete with asda (aka wallmart).
Amazon has got alot of pressure on its hands to deliver 1 million books on july 16th  | |
